MT4 VS MT5

MT4 are older technology than MT5 but this metatrader version have more indicator than MT5. Beside that in MT4 a trading strategy like hedging are allowed then like in MT5 thats hedging trading strategy are not allowed.mt5 looks more complicated maybe cause it is still new to us.it is better to open a demo account with mt5 until mastering it.l have tried but l got some charting problem,l just return back to mt4 platform.

I have been using the MT4 trading platform. As for the MT5, I have never actually tried it, but I might in the near future as my broker offers this platform as well. They have several forex trading program that you can choose from.

What I read is MT4 is more for Forex traders. MT5 is better for people who want to trade stocks, futures and other instruments.

MT5 seems to have more features than MT4 but for EA traders like myself, MT4 is good enough.

havent tried Mt5 honestly, MT4 is not optimal

MT5 is more advanced than MT4 that is absolutely correct. However, some brokers only offer MT4 limiting possible migration of traders to the newer build. Programmers at the moment for MT5 are limited since majority of traders are still using MT4.

MT4 also is 32 bit technology with max power of 4gb mem.

MT5 is 64bit with support for hyper threading meaning it can tap on the enormous processing power of CPU's and memories now and in the future. Mt4's speed is capped at 32bit and 4gb of mem.

Theoritically MT5 can support more advance AI robots and more advance indicators relying on complex mathematical equations. You can open more charts without slowing down your PC. MT5's power is limitless.

Installing MT4 on newer build computers won't make it faster since it's core processing power is still 32bit and capped at 4gb.

even if you have a 128bit CPU with 32GB of RAM CPU, MT4 wil only use 32bit and max 4gb

Time will come when MT4 will become obsolete.

It's like comparing PS4 to PS4Pro. You won'y really notice the difference as of now but time will come when advance games will only run on PS4Pro and left you with no choice but to migrate

So much more freedom and availability of tools (including developer services) for MT4 than MT5.

MT4 is older but I am quite use too with this. It feels handy and sometimes there are difficulties finding mt5 indicator that I am using on mt4.

I've used both but my go2 is metatrader 4....then again it all depends on what you want to trade

Mt4 more complex and mt5 looks like beta for me lol
And still use mt4 until now

MT5 can support more advance indicators relying on complex mathematical equations. You can open more charts without slowing down your PC. MT5's power is limitless and very good for forex traders
