HEX was launched on Ethereum via a Bitcoin UTXO snapshot in the beginning of this month, but has already attracted a lot of crypto enthusiasts, and received 33,000 ETH in donations. The project promises 10,000x returns in less than 2.5 years – a claim that is utterly controversial and raises further suspicion that this is the next crypto scam
800 Ether tokens have been withdrawn from the HEX account and allegedly sent to Bitfinex which has caused suspicions that HEX is preparing for an exit scam. These news were first revealed on Reddit and then supported by evidence from Etherscan.
The founder of HEX, Richard Heart, stated that there are 46,000 ETH left to withdraw and they are held in a single address that is controlled by anonymous individual. This makes users uncomfortable, especially considering that Richard Hart was revealed to be a former internet “Spam King” with ties to a Panamanian criminal network.

On one hand this sounds like paranoia, but at the same time there have been so many scams, hacks and thefts in the industry lately that some paranoia may not be unwarranted.
