Shortly after the news that the Indian government intends to lower the taxes of crypto transfers and regulate them, they came up with yet another idea, going back to their usual plans to ban them. This time the plan is to ban all private crypto assets in the country. They intend to integrate this bill at some point during the upcoming winter parliamentary session.

The closest session is on November 26th, and the expectation is to discuss the bill then. As you can probably imagine, the motivation behind this bill is the planned introduction of an Indian CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency).

The government plans for cryptocurrencies have been a mess for a while now, with them constantly giving mixed signals about what they intend to do.

I just hope they'd finally make a decision and actually stick to it for a change.
