I tried hedge before and failed. So, better don't try to hedge. But its ok if you treat both buy and sell as individual trade. For example, you have a long term buy trade, its ok for you to entry a short term sell trade.

No, MT4 should be quite smooth. But if you overload your chart with indicators, it might become lag as well
