Fear can be avoided if you use a strategy you are comfortable with and set your TP and SL and leave it alone. If your strategy is good then you won't have an issue losing one or two trades because you have a greater risk-reward ratio to counter the loss.

This trading technique can blow your account very fast so I would not recommend.

Are there any low spread brokers for US residents? Most of them seem like scams if they allow us and are unregulated.

Loss is definitely unavoidable but if you follow a trading system with at least a 1:2 risk/reward with at least a 50% win rate you statistically will be successful no matter what. So keep refining your strategies and you'll make it!
