Welcome! I personally use this forum and a couple of others, but like all of them a lot! I'd say this one is certainly helpful and has a good community.
I'd say that depends. Before you get started on a live account, there's a lot to learn. Some may devote more time per day or be faster learners, or vice versa. You should be consistently profitable trading on demo as well, which some get more easily than others. Once you do go live, you should...
Always liked CedarFX. They let me start with a $10 deposit when I was starting out (I know that's low, but I was anxious so it made me feel more comfortable in the beginning.) Also like them because they have 0 commission account with pretty low spreads, customer support is always available, and...
Crypto refers to cryptocurrencies. You've probably heard of Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), etc. You can trade them through an exchange or through a broker. Personally, I like trading through brokers like CedarFX. There are a lot of them that offer it, you just have to make sure the broker does...
It could be, but you need to be sure as a beginner that you have the time to dedicate to it as well. I think it comes more down to that, and personal preference plays a role.
I was talking to someone about this on another forum, she looked deeper into it and realized that the required volume size you needed to trade to withdraw part of the bonus was extremely high. Of course, each broker has their own terms & conditions around it, but no broker is just handing you...
I've heard good things about them, I'm active in a lot of forums and never saw anything bad. I don't actually have any friends with IC Markets though. I'm trading on a 0 commission account through CedarFX right now.
I wouldn't go spend money on a mentor or a course, since everything is available online for free. When I was learning, I found a few sites and YouTube channels I liked and went back and forth between those. Babypips is great for beginners, they explain things more clearly and it's less...
So many factors can cause someone to lose, from poor experience, to a bad strategy, to emotions, laziness, lack of discipline, and the list goes on. I think each trader needs to really look at each of these things and figure out where they're struggling to work on it one thing at a time.
How much is the deposit bonus exactly? Is it $10 or did I misread that? Also, can we have more details about the weekly contest? I haven't seen one quite like that before.
Good post. I've always wanted to invest money, but also to keep some in savings. The savings would be meant to stay off limits unless there was an emergency, while the invested money would be left to accrue profits (hopefully).
I think part of the problem here may be the mentor. Many of them are just failed traders themselves looking to make an easy buck off of hopeful new traders. I'd start by using free resources online, like YouTube, this site, and other free forums or sites with articles and videos about trading...
Part of the excitement is that it can go either way. Traders can of course manage their risk so that it doesn't go so far south if it does, but you still never know for sure.
