I have used rob booker;s finch robot, its not totally automated so you have to constantly monitor it in case it enters a bad trade

one clue to catch scammer brokers is if they are headquartered in some island in the middle of nowhere and they keep calling you to try and make you deposit cash, that's just the most obvious clue... I prefer US regulated brokers, there is tighter regulation there

i have traded the finch before, its a very very good robot, quite reliable and makes good profits... until it hits a bad trade and takes drawdown. if you dont cut a bad trade it can wipe out your account so tread with caution. There's a new solution called the honeymoon finch but i've never used...

The argument between manual and robot trading will always be with us, truth is some make money with and some make money without robots, you just have to find out what fits your personality

I concur very few EAs actually make money, challenge is so may people give false info out there... but dont lose heart keep searching
