Bot testing for Informational purpose

Good Day Ladies and Gents. I am quite new to trading and after building a $5 account into a $200 account in but a few days the realities of trading and poor Money management hit me quite hard. I have recently become quite hooked Bots and figuring out how they work. Backtesting profitability and Set files.

Is there anything you guys would recommend looking into as most of what I have found has been quite a letdown
