there are lots of harmonic indicators out there, which one are you referring to specifically? Harmonics won't always work, you need to combine it with other indicators to help confirm a trade

The problem with harmonic trading is it needs too much patience for the signals to appear and also have to rely purely on statistical edge

Any harmonic indicator will recalculate (different from repainting) the last leg. So one has to wait for the pattern to complete and use either macd or other indicators to trade.
