I'd really like to learn how to create an EA for my trading from scratch. I'm a complete newbie and have no idea where to start. Can someone point me in the right direction?

unless you have knowledge in python, c++ and c# coding languages then you better start there. My advice would be to go to a freelancer website and ask someone to code it for you. Just budget the price they charge

Try learning c++ first(if you have no coding experience), otherwise make notes using the mql5 manual.
