Long-Term vs. Short-Term Trading

What are your thoughts on long-term vs. short-term trading? Pros and cons of each? I'm trying to determine which suits my trading style best.
 
From what I know, long-term strategy is more risky than short-term one. In addition, it's hard to predict the right trend of an asset on a short-term period. Hope this helps.
