Anyone knows what effect NFP news has on the market?

Hello - does anyone know when NFP news comes out and exactly what effect this has on the market? Is it recommended to trade during this time or not? Thanks

Hi be careful with NFP fundamentals, sometimes it moves the market and other times it doesn't. But you should stay out because currency pairs especially USD pair turn to be very volatile, USD pairs can move a hundred pips and can take out your spot loss. So it better to avoid trading during that's period.

When the Non Farm Payrolls are released then the movements that come into the markets are very high as a result of the increased market liquidity. We should understand that trading at the time of the NFP news is considered to be very risky.

NFP is on the first Friday of every month and I avoid trading during that time peroid.

It used to be the NFP caused big movements in either direction, as well as whipsaws. These days it's barely a blip on the chart.
