i'm just experimenting with the mt4 strategy tester and will try different settings in the EA, then we'll see if thunderbird v10 is a cheat or not.

To make sure that an EA that is using martingale is profitable, you need to take small tp's.
I'm using a tp of 30-40 pips max

Sorry to say that but it seems that you don't understand how an EA works. It is a tool and not a genie who will make you rich in a second.
First test an EA on a demo account. Never take the sayings for granted. If you don't understand the algorithms of a EA and don't know how they operate, then it' s better to continue manual trading.
Always easy to blame the EA, especially if you don't know how to operate.
I'll point you out how to test an EA before unleashing it on a real account.
Go to the general thread of thunderbird v10 on this site and check out the tests and runs.
