I have made profits in the past by investing in penny stocks. I used a simple strategy:
1.) I invested on the JSE, min trade R10000 per stock
2.) I only picked mining or mineral stocks
3.) I always selected a PE ratio of 10 or less
4.) Investment term is for at least 3 months and max 1 year
5.) I cash out once I reach my target no matter what the stock does next
6.) I look for the next potential penny stock.
