The google VPS is certainly a very good idea as it is free in the beginning, but what about privacy? Google is not really the best choice when it comes to privacy right?

Depend on EA, if the EA consume memory or CPU load - you may use 1 to 3 terminal. If EA consume low memory while processing and CPU usage, you may go for 5 to 6 terminal on it. But to many EA run at 1 terminal, there will be delayed order in ms.
Usually free vps come with 1 cpu and 2gbyte of RAM.

Free VPS are too slow. Rather look for VPS under $10 per month. Amazon also has free VPS that you can use for free for a year but it depends on the options you choose. There are videos on YouTube that can assist you on how to use Amazon VPS for free but it's a slow VPS.
