Will we ever go to back to gold standard?

The world will certainly be experiencing a huge negative impact on the economy after coronavirus, therefore a depreciation of the currency is inevitable and thereby could we go back to gold standard monetary system?

I don't think so, we will ever go back to Gold standard. I think technology is changing a lot now a days.

Highly unlikely, the Gold standard leaves no room for economic growth of other countries due to undervaluing some currencies round the world because its backed to gold standard
