How Much Weight Do You Give Fundamentals in Forex?

Do you primarily trade technically but adjust for fundamentals (like interest rates, NFP, CPI), or are you purely chart-driven? How do you integrate both without conflicting signals?

I primarily trade using technical analysis but always consider key fundamentals like interest rates, NFP, and CPI. I avoid conflicts by stepping back during major news releases and aligning trades with the broader fundamental trend, using technicals for precise entries and exits. Balance is key.

It's interesting to see the varied approaches here. I've always found that fundamentals give me the 'why' for a longer-term bias, while technicals provide the 'when' for precise entries and exits. Ignoring either seems like trading with one eye closed for me.
