How many trades a month for beginner

Honestly, there is no fixed number of trades that should be considered ‘good’ enough as I am a firm believer in choosing quality over quantity and as an experienced trader, I will always advise you to make trading decisions that are well analysed and backed by strategies and a set trading plan for incurring profits.

There is no fixed answer to this. How much you should trade in a month totally depends on your skill level, trading knowledge, and capital. Moreover, before that, you should know your trading goals. So everything is planned and you avoid overtrading.

It would be wrong to mention any number here since all traders are different and have their own strategies.
Traders make trades according to their trading strategies and trading style. A scalper will make frequent small trades which can vary from 10-100 trades per day based on his experience and knowledge.

An intraday trader can expect to make 20-60 trades per month, while a swing trader can expect to make 4-15 trades per month. If you combine trading styles, such as intraday and swing trading, you can expect to achieve a figure that allows for that.

You will find the best answer if you try trading on your own. When you execute trades in the live market, you will know how well you are performing and in what frequency your trades are proving to be profitable.

Beginners need time to analyse the market and execute trades using preferable parameters. This can vary from trader to trader. Instead of sticking to a particular number of trades per month, try out different strategies that would need you to execute different numbers of trades per month. Stick to whatever suits you the most.

As a beginner, as many as you want until you learn i would say. If you are using real money then obviously don't even trade, and start using demo accounts and also backtest after your trading session is done.

Well, that should depend on the trading system you are following and the time frames you are looking at. Don’t decide on a specific number to trade. Just make sure that you stick to your plan, make use of your calculated entry and exit points, and stop loss and take profit. Honestly, I don’t think that the number of trades you execute in a month should even be a concern.

How many successful trades a month do you need to make when living off of trading
It all depends on how big is your account, and what type of trader you are. And also how effective is your trading strategy. I was able to turn a R1000 account to a R2000 in one week as a beginner. In a month, I was able to make 3500. I found day trading to be more profitable as a beginner , I was trading currencies.

As a beginner, the best suggestion for you is to focus on the mechanism of the market and do not worry about the results. You may not be able to earn a lot of money as a newbie but that should not be your concern as a newbie. Successfully trading forex takes time and requires experience which you have to gain yourself. None of the books, videos, or anyone else can teach you that. It solely depends on your efforts and capabilities how fast you learn the technicals of the market. You have to develop your own trading strategy and once you ace it, you’re good to go.

Trade for a few times and note your frequency. Ask your friend to do the same. When you both have noted your trades for a month, you will know that both of you have been executing a different number of trades. That’s simply because you are two different people, you use different strategies, and you have different trading schedules.

The importance of this cannot be overstated. Based on a realistic return of 5% per month, plan what you need every month. For me, I need USD 3K per month so my capital is USD 60K. Once you've achieved your target for the day, go have a coffee and take a break. DO NOT BE GREEDY. This is where DISCIPLINE is so crucial.

It varies from trader to trader since every trader has his/her own financial goals. Moreover, how much you should trade also depends on your skill sets and investments. Make sure you don’t overtrade. New traders should trade 1-2 trades daily and give more time to learning and analysis. .

There is no justified answer to this since the strategies and financial goals are different for each trader. Moreover, two scalpers don’t execute the same number of trades per day nor do two swing traders.

From what I learned so far in my trading journey. It does not matter how many wins or losses you have, it comes down to a win to lose ratio. For example, you trade a 3:1 ratio and you can become very profitable with a very low winning percentage rate

The amount of trades you make is determined by the strategy you employ. If you use a scalping strategy, you will execute more trades than you would if you used a swing trading approach.
